Version 1.0.3 of the iPhone CAMRA Good Beer Guide app was approved by Apple yesterday.
This is mainly a bug fix version, but also adds some small features:
- Favourite pubs can be reordered.
- About screen links to information about CAMRA and how to join CAMRA.
- Emails to support automatically include information to identify your account enabling us to deal with any problems more efficiently.
- Added Setting to disable autolock.
- Bug fix to prevent subscription purchases being made without our server being notified
- Bug fix which prevented some users connecting to the server
We are planning another update at the start of April which will add new features based on customer feedback and suggestions.

The CAMRA Good Beer Guide application for iPhone and iPod Touch has now been approved by Apple and is available for download on the App Store.
There is a free 7 seven day trial after which you can purchase a 1 year subscription for £9.99 from within the application charged to your iPhone account. Unlike other e-books this is a completely interactive application that lets you find pubs from the Good Beer Guide based around a location, and includes all information from the book including complete reviews and beer tasting notes as well as maps showing the location of the pubs.
For more information take a look at m.camra.org or CAMRA web site.

The Mobile phone version of Camra’s Good Beer Guide is being demonstrated at the Great British Beer Festival this week (August 4th to 8th). The Mobile Good Beer Guide is developed and maintained by Greenius for Oxford Softworks.
At the Great British Beer Festival a 3 day no obligation free trial is being offered, and a year’s subscription to the service is available for £10.
The mobile version offers most of the content of the Good Beer Guide on your mobile phone without having to carry a big book around with you, and allows you to search for pubs near to you. The content is automatically updated if pubs change, and will automatically update to the Good Beer Guide 2010 content to coincide with the publication of the next edition.
If you are visiting the Great British Beer Festival, then please come and find us in the Camra Bookshop near the middle of the exhibition center.
